About Capital Planning and Facilities Management

MISSION

To utilize available financial and human resources to provide the best living, teaching, learning and working environment for the student, faculty, staff and guests of Kentucky State University. To also support the mission and goals of the university with exceptional service.

Capital Planning and Facilities Management falls under External Relations & Development. It consists of two areas:

  • Capital Planning and Construction
  • Facility Management

The department is responsible for the stewardship of the university’s land and physical properties which consists of 41 building facilities on a 313-acre main campus in Frankfort, Ky., a 296-acre Research Farm located in southern Franklin County and a 306-acre Environmental Education Center located in Henry County, Ky.
